Once again the Area Wide Book Battle will be sponsoring a Comment Challenge; however, there are a few changes from years past.
First,
the challenge will run from 9/4/13-1/7/14
Second,
all comment should be meaningful and at least a sentence in length.
Last,
make sure that you include in your comment the name of your school, so we know who to credit for your comment.
Things you can comment on could include:
The title of the book
Specific characters and why you liked or disliked them
The plot, conflict, mood of the book
The setting
The theme
Also you could make a comment about the author's post.
Remember this year your comments are about quality, not quantity

the characters seemed one dimensional and didn't really care about each other. the book was more plot driven than character driven.
the ending was predictable and why did the author wait till the end to reveal Sarah's race??

Heather Brewer's books are always about the supernatural and "First Kill" doesn't break the pattern. It has an interesting plot and the group of people Joss meet harbor secrets. when reading this book always remember how characters are acting, it will help you understand the plot and keep up with the story.

Michael Vey The Prisoner of Cell 25, by Richard Paul Evans, is a intense action filled book that leaves you on the edge of your seat. One edge of the seat moment where you'll pull the covers over your head is when Taylor receives the brochure for the Elgen Academy of Pasadena. This is really the laboratory trying to collect the special kids.
